When most people think of boot camp, they think weight loss. Yes, weight loss is ONE reason people attend boot camp, but did you know that the very boot camps that help people lose weight can also change your body in other ways? Camp Gladiator uses a progressive program and certified trainers to ensure each individual camper gets what they need and what is right for their body. Sandra is a prime example of a camper who didn’t have a lot of weight to lose, but who wanted to change her body. And change it did. Over the past 5 months Sandra has put in consistent effort to reach her goals. She’s turned her weak body into a body that is strong and capable of more than she ever imagined. Because she’s gotten such great results from Camp Gladiator, I asked her to share a little bit about her experience with boot camp. Here’s what she had to say.

Sandra Before / After / After

Sandra Before / After / After

Q: Why did you start training with Camp Gladiator?

A: I had felt for a while I needed to do some type of workout but the gym scene wasn’t for me. Neither was anything else…I was too intimidated. When I was approached by a CG trainer and they offered me a month at a discount, I thought to myself,”if they are offering me a discount and not a FREE month, they must really believe in what they do.”

Q: What have you liked most about training with CG?

A: It’s not a competition. Everyone works at their own pace but mentally you get out of it what you put into it and my mentality was “you’ve got this” after the first week. The trainers are so motivational Sandra & Jennand make you feel like you can accomplish anything!

Q: What has been the biggest obstacle in your training so far?

A: There are none…. camps available throughout the day 6 days per week. I never have to wait for a machine or weights. I just look up the camp I want to go to and show up to get a great workout.

Q: What has been your biggest health/fitness accomplishment so far?

A: Eating more. I always thought that because I ate pretty healthy 90% of the time I was doing fine. Noooo!! I needed to start eating breakfast and start eating snacks. I also needed to move my body and put it into action. Just getting into the habit of actually going to workout was the most challenging but once I saw the result in such a short time it was a must.

Q: What has CG/Jennifer made you do that you didn’t think you were capable of?

A: From day one, Jenn has always believed in me. Had it not been for her and the way she’s so involved I would have never been 5 months in now. I couldn’t do a push-up or even a lunge when I started but never felt bad or embarrassed. Jenn always only pushed me to do what I could and I just wanted her to know she was doing an exceptional job so I pushed myself.

Q: What advice would you give to others thinking about hiring a personal trainer or joining CG to help them improve?

A: Do it!! Try it!!! It’s the best decision I ever made!
